Five minutes is enough

Every time I’ve thought “I only have five minutes, that’s not worth it” — and done it anyway — it’s been worth it.

Five minutes of sitting quietly is not the same as twenty. But it’s not nothing either. It interrupts the momentum of a chaotic morning. It’s a small reminder that you have some say in how the day starts.

The practice isn’t ruined by being short. It’s ruined by not happening at all.
